10 Tips for Beautiful Hair and Skin

It is in the nature of women to take special care of their appearance every day. Here are ten tips that will help you get amazing hair and skin.

	






  1. Drink 1.5 - 2 litres (6 - 8 glasses) of water per day. The human body consists of around 65% water and it easily gets dehydrated if you don’t drink enough. Dehydration can lead to dry lips and dark circles under the eyes.

  2. Your skin reflects how healthy you are – eat a well balanced diet to supply your body with enough vitamins and essential fats to have glowing skin free of blemishes.

  3. Take a daily capsule of fish oil which contains omega-3 fatty acids that support many vital processes in our body.

  4. Don’t count too much on beauty products bought in supermarkets and stores. Make your own face and hair masks with natural products. By mixing different products such as honey, natural yogurt, egg yolks and oils (olive, palm, almond, and coconut) you can make better products at home for less money! For example, mix 1 tablespoon of honey, ¼ mashed avocado and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Put the mixture gently on clean hair and leave for 30 minutes. Then wash away with your favourite shampoo. You will be amazed by the result! Use masks like this once a week for best results.

  5. Get enough sleep. Your body, and therefore your skin, need around 8 hours per day to take a proper rest. And we all have seen the ugly dark shadows that develop under the eyes after a sleepless night!

  6. Don’t do any exhausting and “starving” diets as this can really damage your skin and hair!

  7. Try to use the curling tongs, hair dryer, straightening irons or any other styling products as little as possible.

  8. Don’t use too much make-up. Not only can it irritate your skin, but it doesn’t even look good! A carefully selected foundation that matches your skin tone, some lip balm and black mascara are more than enough.

  9. You may have heard this hundreds of times, but still – always use make-up remover and clean your face every night. While we are sleeping our facial skin is most vulnerable, so left-over face powder may lead to an unpleasant surprise in the morning – a big pimple on the nose!

  10. And, last but not least, be happy and treat yourself with things that make you enjoy your life, after all everyone is more beautiful with a big smile and eyes sparkling with joy!
